Black Swan's Gasket Aide is an amber liquid gasket coating that can provide leak-free, chemically resistant, and pressure enhanced sealing when used with paper, felt, cork, fiber, treated, synthetic, composite, metal or rubber gaskets. It is an efficient drying sealant that cures into a high performance elastomeric polymer membrane (by solvent evaporation) and adheres to both coupling and gasket. Conforms to MIL-S-451800.
Ethyl Alcohol (CAS 64-17-5), Methyl Alcohol (CAS 67-56-1), Ethyl Acetate (CAS 141-78-6), Acetone (CAS 67-64-1), Polyvinyl Butyral (CAS 7723-18-5).
- Completely clean the product area the gasket will be seated on.
- Method 1: Apply a continuous and even coating of product to both surfaces to be sealed. Allow to air dry for 2 to 5 minutes. Put gasket into place and assemble parts. Secure or tighten to recommended specs. Allow 1 hour at room temperature before use.
- Method 2: Pre-coat the gasket on one side. Allow to air dry for 2 to 5 minutes. Put gasket into place (coating against part). Coat other side of gasket, Allow to air dry for 2 to 5 minutes. Assemble parts. Secure or tighten to recommended specs. Allow 1 hour at room temperature before use.
- Remove excess with Denatured Alcohol (Ethyl Alcohol 95% or Anhydrous), Isopropyl Alcohol (95% or Anhydrous), or Butyl Cellosolve.

Keep out of reach of children. Read label before use. Keep away from heat/spark/open flames/hot surfaces – no smoking. Keep container tightly closed and cooled. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Use only outdoors or in well-ventilated area. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Wear a NIOSH approved respirator for organic solvents.
Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water.
Ingestion: Give 1 or 2 glasses of water. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Contact physician immediately.
Inhalation: Move into fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen and call physician.
Keep and store in a cool, dry place away from sources of ignition. Ground during transfer. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Incompatible Materials: Strong oxidizing agents, strong acids.
Dispose of container in accordance with federal, state or local regulations.
